My Electric Radiators Most FAQ
Here at My Electric Radiators we won’t spend time waffling jargon to you which may leave you confused. We don’t have pushy sales staff either, twisting your arm into making a pressed buy now think later decision. In fact we have so much confidence in our products we include a 10 year guarantee on the radiator body and a 2 year warranty on components although we expect you to enjoy many more years use than this. Below is a brief run down on some of your most frequently asked questions.
Why are your electric radiators so efficient?
Our radiators utilise the latest dry thermal technology, you may of already guessed this technology has no fluid or moving parts, it instead encompasses a dry element also making it super light weight. They also boast a highly accurate digital thermostat which is a vital part in ensuring room temperature remains consistent and energy consumption is retained to a minimum. Much like your car has a ECU our electric heaters are fitted with an optimiser that controls the consumption of electricity enabling you to schedule your radiators time and temperature settings 24/7 accessing an optimal level of efficiency.
What size electric radiator do I need?
This is a fantastic and especially important question as purchasing the wrong sized radiator could have a knock on effect into economy running costs. We have specifically designed a radiator calculator whereby once the room dimensions have been inputted will quantify the exact amount of watts need to heat that space. For example if your room required 3,000W then we would recommend 2 x 1500W electric radiators. If however your recommended output is in-between 2 sizes we would always advocate selecting the size above as there is likely to be less strain on the radiator to perform under operation. Remember that the heaters switch off once the designated temperature has been reached so it won’t consume any more energy.
Can I wall mount onto a stud wall?
Of course, our electric radiators weigh a fraction of outdated oil/fluid filled electric radiators along with traditional radiators. Some of our electric heaters weigh just 3.6kg, for this reason they are perfect for mounting onto stud walls. Although a little more tricky than mounting into regular walls please ensure you locate the batons before drilling as screwing the brackets directly into plaster board is likely to be unsafe.
What are the running costs of electric heaters?
Again a magnificent question, We believe a vast majority of the UK are paying around 30% too much for their electricity. For that reason we always recommend our customers to use a comparison site, much like we do for our home insurance or mobile phone. As you can appreciate every household is unique, you may need to consider factors such as the buildings age, type / grade of insulation and finally ceiling height. It’s very possible for running costs to be lower than traditional gas central heating with many customers enjoying these savings.
