Worldwide Apollo scheme intends to construct clean energy more competitively priced than coal
There is exciting news to combat climate change through an almost duplication race as it was with countries competing to place the first man on the moon. The program which launched a week ago now endeavours to funnel billions of us dollars into research and development which conceivably will provide renderable energy that all but needed commercial leap.
The Program named Global Apollo seeks to introduce the price of clean electricity more economical than that of traditional coal fired poser plants right across the world within an estimated 10 year projection. The scheme proposes a £15 billion outlay on research annually, the blueprint would include developing and displaying how green energy and energy storage can work in harmony. The ironic thing is this is the precise budget in todays amounts that the US deployed landing astronauts on the moon.
The scheme is the pioneering innovation of a cluster of UK based scientists, economic experts and of course businessmen in particular Sir David King the UK’s present climate change ambassador. Sir David King recently expressed that green energy at this time possessed multiple benefits on top of fossil fuels most notably through cutting toxic air pollutes whilst trimming carbon emissions which we all know have an advise effect on global warming. However he firmly spoke about the importance of generating clean energy at a vastly cheaper price tag to that of fossil fuels. Inevitably once the world achieves that juncture we’d be in a remarkable contest.
The Program has already endured discussions from G7 ministers which has been propelled on to the G7 heads of state meeting held in Germany this week, June 7th. A former head of the royal society Professor Martin Rees and too a member of the Apollo program voiced how Nasa displayed how a staggering objective is entirely viable, in a speedy fashion providing the tenacity and resources are in place. The moon touchdown were induced through competitiveness, the energy confrontation would offer it’s own worthy motive. What could possibly be more stimulating for a technician than to furnish clean energy for the entire planet.
With that in mind there is no central funding pot, countries would indeed be under total control in which way they choose to consume their funding. At present the UK employs 0.02% of its GDP on clean energy which is ever so similar to other budding countries, however just like the moon project there are other nations whom do not possess a budget to propel paramount results.
So clean energy is virtually around the corner which is mind-blowing, in spite of that what about manufacturing appliances that consume less energy than physically required to operate? combined with clean energy this would be a revolution, right? So why aren’t energy saving capabilities made standard in all appliances? The world hasn’t put the regulation in place quite yet, although there are a handful of highly energy efficient electric appliances already on the market such as wall mounted electric radiators, eco kettles and energy saving Tvs.
Sir David Attenborough, now aged 89 was recently invited to visit American President Obama in Washington upon hearing about his documentary Rise of Animals: Triumph of the Vertebrates. In his own words Sir David was ‘baffled’ by the invitation. “He sent me a ticket, I was astonished, I don’t understand it.” Sir David spoke out about the much highlighted Global Apollo scheme “The exciting thing about the Apollo report is that it is a positive report, at last someone is saying there is a way in we can do things.”
